Grüße vom Bodensee | Greetings from Lake Constance

I’ve officially been here in Germany for a little more than two weeks now!

It’s been a wonderfully simple few weeks. I’ve been getting used to my new city and school – and eating lots of ice cream and pasta, of course.

Here’s where I’m living: Friedrichshafen, on Lake Constance, in the very south of Germany. And it’s just as beautiful as it sounds.

On a clear day, you can see the Alps on the other side of the lake.

We also took a mini day trip to Weingarten, near Ravensburg, which is about a half hour north of Friedrichshafen. We stopped at the Weingarten Abbey, which was beautiful, big, and old.

I lit the white candle in the middle for my late Grandma Ann.

Like I said, it hasn’t been the most eventful two weeks ever, but it feels nice finally getting acclimated to my beautiful surroundings. I’ve made some great new friends, and it looks like my classes are going to be very difficult but interesting.

And most importantly, we found a shop that sells Gelato for only a Euro.
